Micro Mayhem - Stop motion video

My childhood toys consisted of Matchbox cars, micro machines and legos. What else does a kid really need?  Check out this awesome stop motion car chase using micro-machines.

Jaeho raps ODB's verse on stage w/Ghostface Killah & Killa Priest @ Missisippi Studios

Last night 4/10/13 we went to see the legendary Ghostface Killah, Adriane Younge and Killa Priest and caught this little moment in time on video. My roommate Jason who is not a rapper by trade represented for PDX.

Ghostface asked anyone from the crowd to fill in for Ol Dirty Bastards part and rap ODB's verse from Protect Ya Kneck. A lot of hands go up and they select this kid who claims he's got it. His chance came and his drunk ass didn't know a single word and he gets boo'ed off stage hard. So yet again, Ghostface asks if anyone wants to redeem that. So my roomie Jaeho aka ChungJeezy steps up and raps the whole verse and gets the crowd behind him!

Google Street View "Gems"

Google street view is a useful tool when surveying inaccessible locations. But every now and then you come across a gem. Thank you random disgruntled construction worker from Buffalo, NY.

Good advice to follow

I had to post this so I wouldn't forget its origin. A friend posted this on Facebook. While I ignore pretty much all things when it comes to advice on Facebook this will always stick with me.

Quote - NPR's Ira Glass
"Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn’t have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know its normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week you will finish one story. It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. And I took longer to figure out how to do this than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s gonna take awhile. It’s normal to take awhile.
You’ve just gotta fight your way through.”
